Military Courtesy: confirm the exact rule with PRA

Checked September 11, 2026: PRA’s website describes retired military service members from countries with recognized bilateral relations. Its August 2025 program PDF more narrowly describes military aid or training under a defense treaty or similar agreement. Neither is a blanket benefit for all veterans, active-duty members or military dependents.

For ages 40–49, the published deposit table includes USD 3,000 pensioner and USD 6,000 non-pensioner tiers, while the PDF also requests USD 1,000 monthly pension or similar benefits. Ask PRA to resolve that point for your case before sending money.

Use this correctly: This is an organizing checklist, not an approval decision. SRRV Courtesy is not automatic at age 40. Confirm your qualifying Courtesy category and current deposit with the Philippine Retirement Authority before remitting funds.

1. Confirm eligibility before you build the packet

2. File these documents from home

For every overseas record: check current PRA instructions for English translation, apostille, or Philippine consular authentication before filing it in this packet.

Original passport and four copies of the relevant pages.Tourist visa or entry status that PRA confirms is convertible and valid for at least 30 days while the SRRV is processed.Completed current PRA principal application form, signed, plus the copies PRA requests.PRA medical certificate and required results, issued within the current PRA validity period.Police clearance from country of origin or recent foreign residence, current under PRA's stated validity rule, showing no criminal record or similar finding.Proof of my Courtesy category. 3. Add dependent documents, only if applicable

Spouse: passport, PRA dependent form, medical certificate, police clearance when required, BICC, eight photos, and apostilled/authenticated proof of marriage.Child: passport, PRA dependent form, medical certificate, eight photos, and apostilled/authenticated birth, adoption, or custody evidence as applicable.For each dependent age 18 or older, I have confirmed the police-clearance and NBI-clearance requirements.I have confirmed the USD 300 joining-application fee for each dependent and any additional deposit if more than two dependents are included.

5. Banking, deposit, and fees

6. Submission-day final check
