## Canggu, Indonesia - beta candidate

### Current evidence

- Mowando, updated May 29, 2026, distinguishes a dorm-based low budget from a EUR 45-60 mid-range solo profile that explicitly includes a private room with a shared pool, better cafes, and some surf/yoga classes.
- Bali Travel Guide Plus, published 2026, says USD 30 per day in Bali can include a private room, local food, transport, and one or two activities, but warns that switching to Western food can add USD 10-15 per day.

### Responsible treatment

Canggu needs a city premium over generic Bali. Do not use its low dorm figure as a private-room baseline. Present a private-room exploratory range with an explicit warning that cafes, surfing, yoga, and imported/Western food can quickly raise costs.

## Yogyakarta, Indonesia - beta candidate

- HikersBay, updated July 28, 2026, gives current solo accommodation and local transport context; its lowest lodging figure is a hostel and must not become the site baseline.
- Roammate's current 2026 guide lists boutique guesthouses around IDR 250,000-500,000, Grab-car trips around IDR 50,000-100,000, and a private driver at IDR 250,000+.
- MachuPicchu.org's 2026 budget guide provides a transparent mid-range daily composition: private room IDR 150,000-300,000, food IDR 150,000-250,000, Grab rides IDR 50,000-100,000, and selective temple entries, for IDR 500,000-750,000 daily.
- Visit Jogja Tour's 2026 guide reports a broad USD 50-120 mid-range level for travelers, including solo travelers.

### Responsible treatment

Yogyakarta is suitable for a lower private-room exploratory band, but the site should offer temple / Borobudur and Prambanan transport as optional day-trip additions rather than pretending every day includes a private driver.
