- Current 2026 sources place realistic local food at MYR 25-37/day and a budget city stay at MYR 120-160/day when using budget lodging, hawker meals, and Grab/public transport.
- Transport needs a city-specific adjustment: sources say car/motorbike or Grab is commonly needed beyond central waterfront areas.
- Status: one-source-away. Current food and broad daily-range evidence is good, but a short-stay single private-room source is still needed.
